Guangzhou Zhujiang Beer Group Company Ltd. was established in 1985 with guidance from the Belgian brewing industry, most notably, with assistance from Interbrew or InBev.
Located in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou, which lies on the Pearl River delta, within the province of Guangdong (otherwise know as Canton province) this region is well know for its culinary preparation and cooking style. The brewery itself is regarded as the world's single largest brewing facility in the world producing an amazing 48,000 bottles per hour! Zhujiang Beer Group also has a number of industry related minor holdings. Zhujiang Beer is ranked within the top 3 national beer brands domestically across China and is 2nd overall in sales.
Referred to as the "Beer of the South" it is however widely known and available across the entire country and neighboring Pan Asian region. Gaining in recognition and popularity throughout international export markets such as the UK,Sweden,USA,France and Australia, Zhu Jiang Beer is now available in Canada.
How to pronounce the name of the beer? "Joo Jung Beer" which translates into Pearl River Beer.
